To perform this laser eye surgery for our Raleigh / Durham patients, Dr. Dornic uses a Holium YAG laser to place a series of heated spots in concentric circles on the cornea. These spots gently shrink the collagen in the corneal tissue, causing the cornea to steepen and reduce hyperopia.
LTK laser eye surgery at our Cary practice does not require the creation of a corneal flap or the removal any eye tissue. It is also very fast, and creates very little discomfort. Most patients can resume normal activities the day after the procedure.
